Schools
All schools in the rohe of Te Rarawa are included in the settlement offer. Six schools will be purchased and leased back to the Ministry of Education. Te Rarawa will own the under lying land, totalling 16 ha, but not the buildings and improvements. Schools include:
• Ahipara School
• Herekino School
• Broadwood Area School
• Te Kura Taumata o Panguru
• Kohukohu School
• Mātihetihe School
Other Crown properties
Te Rarawa has taken the opportunity to purchase a number of properties from the Office of Treaty Settlements land bank and those held by Land Information NZ (LINZ). These include the following:
All schools in the rohe of Te Rarawa are included in the settlement offer. Six schools will be purchased and leased back to the Ministry of Education. Te Rarawa will own the under lying land, totalling 16 ha, but not the buildings and improvements. Schools include:

_Deferred selection process
Te Rarawa will be part of a deferred selection process with five properties in Kaitāia with Ngāi Takoto and Ngāti Kahu. This process is expected to be completed within three years of settlement date. The properties are:
• Kaitāia Court House
• Kaitāia College
• Kaitāia Intermediate
• Kaitāia Primary School
• 42 Church Rd
Rights of first refusal (RFRs)
Te Rarawa will have the right of first refusal over identified crown properties in our area of interest for the next 172 years. Te Rarawa will share the right of first refusal over properties where other Iwi have overlapping interests. It is envisaged that the Te Hiku Iwi will collaborate in relation to RFRs.
Sundry matters
Waireia Trust and Tapuwae Incorporation had independent claims before the Waitangi Tribunal. For the Waireia Trust the issue related to the sale of the reclaimed Pūnehu flats, and Tapuwae Incorporation sort relief in relation to Crown debt finance. Both these matters will be addressed as part of the settlement process.
